Lots of proms on July 9

Post by gabrieli »

I used a Baader 3X telecentric + Quark Combo on a Lunt 152 at 2700 mm with a Blackfly S 5 Mp for the first 4 images and the same optical train except with a Blackfly S 1.6Mp camera for the last image.

I'm noticing as I have in the past that there is a marked difference in brightness between the image as composed in PS and the posted image(looks darker) both on this forum and also on my Deviant Art postings. Any suggestions?

Lou

Superb set of images Lou...the emerging AR detail as well as the proms is very sharp. Well done :bow

My goodness these are good :bow :bow :bow

Remember to convert the image to RGB (not greyscale), if leave in greyscale then it looks great in Photoshop but everywhere else it is darker.

Lou:
Superb shots, even if they are a bit dark due to what Alexandra explains, I had the same problem, till Rainer told me about always converting the image to RGB.
Best regards,
Eric.

Thanks for the comments, Brian and advice regarding converting from greyscale to RGB, Eric and Alexandra.

Exceptional prom shots, Lou. That 5MP camera, together with all the rest of the equipment and your processing, seems to produce beautiful results...
