Saturday Sun in CaK 20th Oct.

Post by Carbon60 »

Just back from a week in Dallas on business at a conference. The weather there was appalling with heavy rain on most days with no sun to be seen at all. Unusual for Dallas. I returned home through Newark early Saturday to a surprisingly bright morning and even some sunshine after a few hours sleep, which I needed to stave off the jet-lag.

Not wishing to miss the opportunity, I checked SAT24 and could see that the gap in the clouds was only going to last a short while, so quickly I set up and ran some images in CaK using my Lunt B600 module on my modest Altair Lightwave 72ED-R.

Camera: Basler acA1920-155um with 2.5x Powermate
AS!3 stacking

Sure enough, all too quickly the sky turned hazy and the session was over.

Thanks for looking.

Stu.

Excellent full disk Stu! I missed the glorious weather this weekend as was away on the boat, typical! Boating was fun though :)

Stunning CaK Stuart, it really does show that the Sun is almost completely quiet with no plage apart from one area, so nothing developing then.
It was a beautiful weekend :)
