Still orbiting around the Sun....

Post by krakatoa1883 »

Today first clear and sunny day since October 20th. Of course the seeing is terrible as the atmospheric circulation changed from a humid and cloudy African anticyclone to a dry Russian cyclone together with an abrupt temperature fall. No high resolution possible however I did my best to capture a full calcium disc and AR12727, with poor results. This small group is formed by few spots but is very bright in H alpha and in calcium H also. There were also few prominences and filaments but due to the turbulence I decided to give up.

Nice session, Raf. This is in any case better than nothing (at most places in Europe).

Thanks for sharing.

Bellissimi risultati nonostante le povere condizioni atomosferiche ! Excellent results notwithstanding the poor atmospheric conditions, Raf !

Sorry, I had to practice my Italian otherwise I forget.... :)

Great to see you managed to get clear skies, and good captures despite the conditions :bow

Tough conditions, Raf, but some Sun is better than none. Nice images.

Thanks to all for your comments, very kind :)

The group is still there, both the trailing and following spots are slightly larger than yesterday, look at it if you can.

Raf:
In spite of seeing conditions, the session was very good.
