20th Jan, nearly granulation

Post by robert »

So little activity I tried white light close up. I think I need 25° altitude to resolve granulation well and below 1 arc sec on the SSM. Today was cold with a light breeze and the SSM was below 1 arc sec but the altitude at midday only 12°, so a bit hopeful!

Nice capture Robert, I see your logic. The sun is still low in the sky though. I have trees and roof tops where I am, so reckon i've a good month before my horizon is clear.

Robert:
Super seeing, though the Sun is still low.
Best wishes,
Eric.

Great shot Robert, good resolution despite the low altitude of the sun.
