With AR2736 heading over the edge, I spent some time today playing in the sunshine. Getting an early start in hopes of better seeing I started imaging before the etalon reached operating temperature. That gave some white light and off band images.
All were taken with the 6" Quantum Six scope, a SolarSpectrum etalon, and a Point Grey Grasshopper GX camera.
Phil

Stunning views Phil! I'm hoping to get a look today if it stays clear, just waiting for the sun to clear the rooftops.

Wonderful images, Phil. The last but one is spectacular with that lovely depth of field effect really drawing the eye into the active region. Very nicely done.

Thank you for the very kind comments.
That was a fun imaging day. My first WL with the big scope, that I liked, and the off band experiment looked like the sun was starting to grow fur.
I had to laugh at the crispy comment. Hope they weren't too crispy, Alexandra.
Stu, your inverted images played a role in what I was trying to achieve.
Thanks again,
Phil
