Sol from the 28th of March 2019.

Post by eroel »

Hi:
Nice day with some haze due to dust and smoke from the Popocateptl that is an active volcano near México City, yesterday it had a dome explosion.
Just had time before lunch to get a few FD´s in Ha.
Thanks for looking and have a good day,
Eric.

Very nice FDs, Eric. There’s not a great deal going on :(

I hope the volcano settles down soon. Last time it went off with gusto it threw a lot of ash/aerosols in the upper atmosphere that remained for a couple of years.

Stay safe.

Stu.

Marty, Stu and Pedro:
Thanks for looking.
Stu, the Popocatépetl, is a very old active volcano 5426 meters high above the mean sea level. Its name in Aztec times means "The smoking mountain".
It is 72 Km from México City, and every clear day you can see the big volcano smoking.
Wish you all the best of the weekends, down here it is hazy, dusty and with volcanic ashes.
Eric.

Great disks Eric! After a week of sunshine whilst I was at work it looks like the cloud has returned for me for the weekend, typical!

Great images Eric :bow it is funny, I was just commenting on this volcano after watching it erupting on the news at the weekend. The hubby commented that it would ruin your seeing if you lived near that! I didn't realise you were so close ;)
