AR12738 H-alpha and CaH

Post by krakatoa1883 »

Not much solar work these days as - finally! - spring is arrived after an exceptionally dry winter in northern Italy, and rains are now frequent. I imaged AR12738 in H alpha between clouds and in strong winds with storms developing around here, considering these conditions I am not too disappointed of the result

Yesterday I took it in CaH, unfortunately the power bank was completely discharged so I used my Quark totally "detuned". An image with only 52 mm aperture

and another one with my 80 mm achromat

both images have the north down.

These look great Raf. That CaH quark works well even powered down.
