I agree Mark

Definitely the SM90II does not like short focal ratios. It works better at F/10

The SM040II works fine and I have two Pre-Meade SM40. I will have to compare the two side-by-side

I also have two SM60 (Pre-Meade). Only one is a good performer (for imaging)

Nice comparison, Pedro. It’s a bit of a ‘lucky dip’ as to wheather you’ll get a good performer across the range anyhow, as they all seem to vary. I guess we just have to be glad when we get a good one and try to send it back when you don’t ;)

All etalons are handmade and different. We just have to test each one and choose the best
