Hi,
Probably obvious to those in the know, but what are these features ringed in red? They are 'blobs' of hydrogen plasma, but do they have a formal scientific name? I've searched but cannot find any reference to them in the literature (not sure what to use as a search term).
I've noticed them on other images, usually around ARs.

Like little knots of magnetism......

Thanks, for the info and link, Mark.
Physicists have a way with naming things....strong force, weak force..... Chromospheric bright points..... At least it's clear and logical.

Re: What are these chromospheric features?
Good info. I always feel a little guilty that I don't understand what I am imaging in more depth.
