Sunday started off like most days of the past 3 months here, overcast and threatening rain, but by mid morning the skies began to clear a bit and by noon it was a beautiful day with deep blue skies. I did a quick session early in the afternoon and was happy to find some proms and some features on the disk in Ha as well. The seeing was pretty poor, but imaging was manageable so long as I didn't push the focal length. The SSM was averaging around 3, but as you can see it was quite variable. I didn't bother with the Firecapture Plugin as it was never dipping below 2.
Questions and comments are always welcome,
Brian
My first images were through the LS80T/DSII/B1200Ha solar scope and PGR camera. The image below have an inverted limb to show the fainter proms a bit better:
I used a longer exposure to get more of the faint proms on the NW limb to show:
The Quark Combo was set up on the CR-150 with a 2x tele-extender to start some higher resolution images. The large region of disturbed Ha plasma really stands out in the image below, with a little tuft of a filament:
The large prom at the 8 o'clock position turned out fairly well, but the numerous fainter proms at 2 o'clock didn't fair as well wit the longer exposures:
Just to push the seeing, I changed over to the 3x tele-extender for the 2 frame mosaic of the region shown above:
This covers the session from Sunday...more clear days ahead if time will allow me to do some more viewing.A few from June 2nd

Great images, Brian even considering the conditions. Dare I say a Solar smorgasbord? Looks like someone had a good Sunday.
Thanks for showing.

A great set Brian, some lovely proms and a nice fluffy spicule layer
It has been cloudy and rainy for the last few weekends here, however I have lots of gardening to do at this time of the year so that keeps me entertained

Franco, Mark, Phil, Alfred, Stuart, Alexandra, and Mauritis...
Many thanks to each of you for commenting on the images form this session. Always very much appreciated
Mother nature has given us 4 or 5 days of clear, warm weather which has allowed the farmers to start to make some progress on crops. Winter losses of the perennial hay crops and winter wheat were far worse than initially thought and there is great concern over the lack of feed for livestock for the coming year. I'll be glad to see the spring finish and have a good summer and fall to help these late planted crops mature!
