Hi here I am again asking a question I hope someone can answer. To has been glorious here in Leicester UK so I set up my Explore AR127 and my Quark, no camera as I just wanted a bit of visual, but, I tried for over three hours and put on two Solar finders, but could see nothing. I contacted the shop where I got the Quark from to ask if there is anything I should try, their first question was ‘are you sure your scope was pointing at the Sun?’ Well with two finders on I thought I had a good chance !!!
I wonder if there is something I could put on my finder scope?
I struggle to make a mess so making something is really not a good idea. Anyone got any thoughts please.

I guess the solar finders are not setup to centre on the sun, just roughly. With a quark and a long focal length scope it would need to be accurately aligned.

Can you try alignment based on the shadow of the scope?

Indeed, look to the shadow after te telescope and than see to the solar finder.

Line the scope up on the sun with the solar finders without the Quark and diagonal on, when the bright exit beam comes out of the back of the scope you know it is lined up, then put the Quark and diagonal back in.

As Mark says.... and then once you’re on target maybe tweak the solar finder to get the solar disk bang in the centre and you’re all set for the next time.
