With my f6.5 achromat and Aeties D-ERF Daystar recommends I use the quark classic with the 4.2x Barlow. But that much magnification scares me a bit. How about I get the quark combo and a 2.5x powermate and or also a 5x powermate for flexibility. Or I could use a focal reducer for the classic.
Does the quark perform well at f16.5 (combo with 2.5) and f26 (classic with a focal reducer)? Daystar says they like around the f30-40 range.
I am thinking of the 1.25" powermates only because I might be able to use the 2.5x in the 4" Mak for flexibility (I would transferring my D-ERF to that scope during those sessions).

Don’t over think the issues....
Just go for the Chromo standard Quark, use it with your achromat with a suitable ERF and enjoy!!
