First reasonable FD

Post by MAURITS »

This is my first FD ever.
Before I could not make an FD recording with the original small Lunt LS35F ha scope and the ZWO 120MM camera.

So, I have remove the Lunt LS35F etalon and with a perfect adapter I coupled it to the Little Takahashi FS60 CB scope.
The Lunt blokking filter is the same BF600 as before.

The difference "visual and imaging wise" is huge, the sun is much much bigger in de scope than with the original Lunt 35mm scope, is a lot sharper too and with the telescope focusser it's easy to come in focus this time, before it was a helical focusser with not enough infocus (that was my problem).

This is a quick recording from this morning with a very quit sun.
No flatframe calibration needed, just a daystar eliminator to prevent newton rings.
