That’s an excellent first disk, Hugo. Lovely colour too and in my view it’s the way Ha images should be represented. 656.28 nm is red, after all.

Was this taken with a colour camera?

Generally we use monochrome imaging cameras, take an AVI video of a few seconds, use stacking software to produce a single image and apply image deconvolution/sharpening to optimise the image quality. You’ll see lots of examples on this forum.

With my Lunt 60 I generally image with a 2.5x Powermate on a Basler acA1920-155um camera with an IMX 174 sensor to make 4 or 6 pane mosaics. This brings out the optimal level of detail with this aperture.

Welcome.

Stu.

The foto has made with ASI1600 mono sensor 17x13 mm and 3.8um pixel.
Photo is colored with Photoshop.
Next time I will try with powermade 5x

With that camera i'd go with a 2x barlow, you will get a full disk in one and get good sampling for the pixel size.

2x barlow, good advice, yes that must improve the optimal filling.
I wil try this first.

Much, much better than my first attempt.
About the biggest problem that you have is that there's simply not much to see up there right now.
It looks like you're doing well with the image capture. The rest is all about processing.
Alexandra (Montana) and Mark Townley, and possibly others, have posted very helpful solar imaging guides. They have helped me quite a bit

Welcome Hugo...

You have a good first post with the FD image!!!

Start off slow...get the exposures and camera settings sorted out and then work your way up to barlows. I'm not sure what you have for a mount, but the more you push the camera/scope you will need to have a mount that can keep it all stable too ;) So far the first step looks good!!!
