HR images taken with the N300 on August 21

Post by christian viladrich »

The Internet is back at St Véran ..

Here is a set of pictures taken on August 21 with the 300 mm Newtonian and the 396-5 nm filter.

Let's start with a region close to the Eastern limb, with many faculae and darker areas.
Image

The N-W limb with granulation visible to the limb.

A little bit farther from the limb, with faculae still visible.

An area close to the center of the disk with a ring of filigrees in the center of the image.

Another areas with darker diffuse areas :

Best regards

An amazing set of images, Christian, but the fourth one is truly spectacular. The resolution and contrast are magnificent.
