AR12764 and Proms in Ha 1st June

Post by marktownley »

Still playing catchup here. Another day out and observing from 7am, and while conditions were better than the day before they weren't supportive of the HaT so stuck with the 100mm Tal100TR, 2.79x Airylab Telecentric, Daystar Quark and the FLIR IMX174 camera. The active region was clearly showing its spot.

However, despite this disk activity the proms for me are the star at the moment, with lots to see.

Thanks guys. I'm getting the urge to try and double stack the Quark with a PST etalon for disk shots, I think it will give some nice results. I've got loads of light coming through the system so it shouldn't be a problem.

Hi Mark,

Very good and fine filigree resolution of the prominences.

More tinkering, Mark ;)

Looking good there with these images. Those proms look really nice and sharp.

Beautiful job Mark!. I like how the surface seems "soft".

Nice shots, Mark. Can't wait to see your images with DS Quark and PST etalon.
