Large prom and active region from June 2
I wish the clouds had held off a bit longer for a full disk but that will have it for another day.
Conditions were tolerable and the temperature comfortable. The following images were taken at 3600 mm
with a Lunt 152 helped by a 4X telecentric lens holding a Quark Combo. I had to use more gamma than I liked to bring the prom out since the shutter speed and gain were already at marginal levels. This tends to blur the spicule layer and produces artifacts in my seeing conditions. If you look at other high res images of the same prom in better seeing, you can see how much "cleaner" the image is.

Terrific images, Lou.
It looks like you finally got some cooperation from the seeing.
Cheers

Excellent images, Lou. You certainly managed to squeeze out the best from the conditions.
