Active Region AR2765

Post by Carbon60 »

Hi All,

After a day of clouds and rain the weather finally cleared late in the afternoon giving me a brief opportunity to image the beautiful active region gracing our Sun. I know this is 'upside down' and should really be flipped, but it didn't look quite right when I tried this. I think this is a better composition, albeit not oriented as it is on the Sun.

This followed an aborted attempt mid-morning when I was chasing through 'sucker holes', but not getting anywhere. So frustrating, but the day panned out okay with this capture.

Back to decorating...... :(

Thanks for looking.

Stu.

Excellent work, Stu, it's always surprising how good Lunt-modified scopes can be.

Hi Stu,

Nicely captured. Agree with you that this orientation lets us see the sunspot, filaments and other impressive fibrils.
