Hello!
I am writing here about previous solar eclipse, on December 26, 2019 (the next one will on June 21), which I photographed in Yuzhno-Morskoy, near Nakhodka, Russia.
Almost all the time in the sky there was dense cloud cover, through which it was difficult to see even the contour of the Sun (you can see this in the recording of my live stream at the link: https://youtu.be/Mp6FzmU1Bo8 ). However, the cloudiness became less dense for 10 minutes, so I was able to take some photos of the eclipse.
This image is the result of stacking 2 photos taken with my camera Canon EOS 60D (135mm lens), from AstroSolar film, 20 minutes before the maximum phase.
The second photo is landscape, where you can see the scale of clouds in the sky.
With best regards,
Filipp.

Thank you, I think that in such cloudy conditions this is a really good result.

Re: Solar eclipse on December 26, 2019
It is surprising that just on the day of the eclipse it was cloudy, because usually in December in the south of Primorsky Krai it is always clear and sunny. But in June, usually every day, clouds and fog. However, on the morning of June 6, 2020, the sky was surprisingly clear, so I managed to photograph the penumbral lunar eclipse at an altitude of only 2 degrees above the sea horizon. I am attaching the collage from my comparative photographs of the Moon for two dates: landscape originals (bottom) and resized images of the Moon (at the top) with altered contrast (for better visibility of the eclipse).

Wow, you know how to deal with a low sun, as we use to do in Canada in december.

Hi Filipp,
Your persistence and watchfulness paid off with rewards of precious recorded memories of the eclipse. Well done.

Hello Alfred,
These photos have now become especially interesting because during the next solar eclipse (on June 21, 2020) it was cloudy, but during this eclipse there were gaps in the clouds.
