Hi all
Captured this through moving cloud today, amazed it came out.
Some nice activity going on there.

A superb image Rod :bow :hamster: I am so envious as I have not seen this region yet. It looks like the filament lifted off 3 hours later.

Outstanding image Rod. Cracking filter you got from the Solar Scout.
Indeed, once this lovely filament started to lift off it disappeared very quickly yesterday afternoon (UK time).

I wish I could have got more breaks in the clouds so I could have got the filaments progress and demise.

I reckon Rod must have a new 'state of the art' radar-telescope to capture this fab image through the clouds.
Either that or he has a pilot's licence (do I need say more)...

Well done Rod

Thanks all for you comments.

Working from home is useful at the moment, if I can get on the sun with my finder (I have a WL phtoto filter on it, much brighter so I can see through the clouds) I just leave the scope traking and quark and camera on then spend most of my time next door in the conservatory, so as soon as the sun comes out I can just pop in to have a look and image, a sort of radar.

Cheers Rod

Hi
Again
I have gone through all my files now and processed them.
I think I like this one the best made from a short capture of only 100 frames and a stack of 25 of them even though cloud passing through the capture.
I just took the video to check my focusing.
It is a little grainy but I like the fact it is processed to look like what I see through the eyepiece.

Cheers Rod
