OK Folks,
Now I have lost the "pesky rings" I have been playing with the few AVI's taken this morning, with the attached results.

Enjoy

Hi Terry,

Congrats on getting rid of the NR. How did you do it?

Good results keep at it. It takes a while to work out what works with your setup and the local seeing conditions.

Many thanks Eric, DeepSolar64, Alfred and Derek.

Alfred, Substitution was the method. Whilst try to sleep the night before, I came-up with the thought about simply swapping the two (identical)- cameras between the Ha and Cal-K scopes. So thankfully the weather changed from the forecast on Saturday morning and gave me the time I needed to try that out. Immediately the rings were sent to the bin !!!

Why those two cameras should be different, is still unknown as were sourced together from the same supplier, but presumably as different lines of light and intensity between Ha and Cal-K - is possibly why.

Within the last quiet year, it is possible that some changes were made and the cameras may have been swapped from the previous Solar-imaging sessions - where that NR problem didn't show up then.

So now I can get on with the task in hand and also to try some Telextenders etc., to improve the imaging too.

Just now the PC is playing-up with some definite hardware problems, so I am hoping to find another suitable PC for the purpose.

Best wishes
Terry
