Hedge prom on June 18

Post by gabrieli »

This day was better than expected for the hot day that it was. I tested the long 25 foot cables for the camera , hand control, and focus motor and they all seemed to work fine. I used a full aperture ERF on a Celestron 180 Mak (2700mm prime) + 6nm Ha filter on a 2X Powermate + Quark Combo + tilter + 3.2 Mp BlackflyS.
I wish that Firecapture could accomodate the FLIR Spinnaker software to avoid all the fumbling between so many windows that control the image parameters. The scope was used at 5400 mm which would normally be out of the question on days like this. There was some cropping done on the images.

Hi Lou,

Nice close-up of the proms. The coloured version looks good too.
