2020-06-26 - A quick glance in HA

Post by JochenM »

A tropical day (by local standards) here, with temperatures up to 32 degrees Celsius (way past my comfort zone already). As these things usually go, it also means incoming thunderstorms and rain. So I decided to make use of the opportunity to get a quick session while I still can.

Not too overly much to see on our parent star at first glance. However, after slewing over the disk a bit; I did spot what seems to be two small bright spots on the NW limb. Other than that, a few smaller proms showed up to complete the show. Nothing fancy, but still better than nothing.

Now back inside with the AC on ;)

Setup: 80ED, Quark Chromosphere, IMX174.

Thanks for looking!

These are lovely, the details are small but sweet :bow :hamster:

At least you have air conditioning :) we had 31 degrees here yesterday and the only way to keep the house cool is keep all the windows and doors closed and the curtains drawn. We managed to keep the inside down to 26 degrees, at least it is cooler today at 25 degrees outside but cloudy. Our today is always yours tomorrow :)

Thanks Alexandra.

After that scorching hot summer a few years back and temperatures inside the house reaching the low 30's for days on end, the decision to have AC installed was an easy/quick one :D

Great captures, Jochen. Lovely 'fuzzy' edge with those small proms. Nicely imaged.

Great images Jochen! The heat was oppressive wasn't it, Atlantic air is back over us again today. We've spoken quite a few times about getting some AC fitted in our house too.

Hi Jochen,

Nice capture with lots of fine details. It is raining and the sky is filled with clouds when it is not raining. I am looking forward to getting back to imaging again.
