I have been busy with my job and other stuff, so here are some old images taken on May 30. Nothing fancy, only a very small spot visible next to the solar limb :

These are excellent Christian. The Alluxa seems to be working well. Out of interest what other refractors have you had success with in imaging in CaK?

Re: Ca K images taken on May 30 with the TOA150
Thanks Terry and Mark !
Mark, I started Ca K imaging a long time ago with a Vixen Fluorite 55 mm F/8 refractor. It was OK. Still, I found out lately that the AR coating vastly reduces its transmission in Ca K.
Then, I used a Takahashi FSQ 106 (the old version). I had to stop it down to 80 mm. It was OK for one-shot full disk images.
Then, the TOA 150 which is flawless for Ca K.

Beautiful CaK shots, Christian.
The Tak / Alluxa combination gives superb results.
Cheers.

Outstanding, top images, Christian!
very well detailed cell structure in Ca and it looks noiseless. Is it 0 gain with 1ms on 290 camera?
regards
Leo
