Well done, nice. Might want to rotate it clockwise a little to get north up.

Looks good Robert. Except for the color it is very close to the visual view.

Re: 28th July Ha with AR2767
Robert, very good image, I stood at the home observatory a few hours and the clouds did no let me see the Sun just once.
Well done.
Best regards,
Eric.

Very nice FD, Robert. Crisp, clear and you’ve captured the magnetic canopy (prom) hanging over the new sunspot very well.

That's a great looking disk Robert! At least the gale managed to blow the clouds away long enough for you to image.

Re: 28th July Ha with AR2767
Hi Dan
I think it is Celestial North up more or less. I always setup up the scope by to be aligned like that to the equatorial mount axes. I used to put a grid on from Tiltsun which shows Solar North up as well. It is a good program.

I suppose Solar North up is better but more work!
Thanks for the comments
Robert

Fine disc. Having the north up is always useful for comparing different images.

Re: 28th July Ha with AR2767
Hi Robert,
Very good.
Now, what is North up ? If we put the real North pole of the Sun at the top we need to rotate very day the Sun by the value P calculated in Tilting Sun.
For example in this case we would need to rotate the Sun 9.54° Clockwise.
So why not leave it just as it is and put the Tilting Sun graphic for better understanding where we are ? Just IMHO ...
