31-7-2020 THE FIERY PILLAR SHOW - animation.

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

Extra to the fab animation shown-here today, I had just previously seen this on the SDO website.

https://www.spaceweather.com/images2020 ... rupted.gif via SDO, shows that fiery-pillar in action.

Well worth watching.

Also the NE limb has another AR after AR2768 which might show spot activity as it progresses, but will have to wait and see for that.

CLEAR SKIES

It shows it dissolve out at the end which explains why it wasn’t visible at the time I observed today. I did however catch a bit of the faculae at the limb on that NE possible new AR in white light today.

Thanks James and it looked as if it was going to flare, but not sure if it really did...

Thanks for sharing. I imaged it in the morning, in the afternoon was vanished.
