Finally some half-decent seeing! Tried to image yesterday and Thursday but the seeing was horrible. After that I almost didn't bother setting up! Managed to get something in all three lights today.
Still struggled a bit with Ca-K, ICE kept messing up the stitch of my 6 pane full disk. Eventaully got AutoStitch to do what ICE couldn't quite pull off!
Close up of the plage region. Tried to pano this rea but one of the panes came out really soft so did not work out.
Lots of proms on show, these were the best of them although it's a bit noisy
White light close ups
Forgot to shoot a flat for my granulation, hence...
Then some H Alpha, saying farewell to AR 12767
Pano of the region around AR12768
And a whole heap of proms including a couple of different processes of the brightest.
I have to say based on experience to date I am loving the Quark. It's brilliant visually with the Evostar 120 stopped down to 100mm, ES2x barlow and my Revelation 20mm plossl. For imaging (all of the above shot with this setup) I use the same setup but swap the eyepiece for the ASI178, I see minimal Newtons Rings and flats are optional it seems (none of the above were processed or capture using flats).

Good job on all. I must admit as a fairly new observer to solar I still have trouble with a purple sun. :-)

Hi Dan,
Interesting and yes it is difficult to understand but if you look at the spectrum of the Sun and locate the Ca lines you will see it is in the purple area ...

Good to hear that you managed to get a proper session in, David.
Very nice results in all three bands.
