Full disk 12-08-2020

Post by rsfoto »

Hi,

Today I noticed by myself that there were no clouds and the Sun is shining

So here my report about today's Sun.

The Prominences around the limb are still in the same place as yesterday. The double prominence in the NW limb have grown.

The Hedgerow on the SE limb have nearly disappeared or turned into a Pillar or Feather but therefore we have a new spot near it ¿ AR 2772 ?

AR 2769 is just a disturbnace near the NW limb.

AR 2770 is the same size as yesterday but the filament in it is less pronounced.

There is ¿ AR 2771 ? in the Southeastern quadrant at -20° and -50°.

There is a disturbance near the pillar prominence. Will it develop to a spot ?

¿ AR 2772 ? is on the Southeastern but no pores yet visible in White Light.

In White Light AR 2770 has a split spot, light brigde but very small.

The new ¿ AR 2771 ? has as far as I have counted 4 pores or an already spot (no penumbra visible for me) with a lightbrigde.

As usual best seen in full size in a new Tab/Window :bow2

Hi,

Wondering who assigns the numbers to the Sunspots I found this and I guess the Experts here already knew it
