Hi:
In CDMX (México City), the day was clear and sunny with some clouds, but the Sun was very calm, so I used the time to calibrate my observatory monitor, but the results were horrible with a deep green background, so I took apart the Spyder 2 and found that the sensor had a sort of a green filter that was very degraded, so cleaned it and tried to calibrate with and without the green filter in the Spyder 2 from Pantone.
After many tries, I took it off and the monitor got a nice calibration (well I think, compared to the others tests).
After the "calibration" I started to adjust the Solarmax 90 adjustments that had kept for many months, so I readjusted both etalons and the rest of the adjustment wheels and levers and left them as I thought gave an even FD image. (no hot spots)
Hope they are fine and thanks for looking just a few test shots, because after the last test, it clouded all over.
I am loading 4 test images, they are not finished images.
Have a nice and sunny Sunday.
Eric.

Your adjustments look perfect, Eric. Beautiful FDs.

Some lovely full discs Eric
I too have had to by an Xrite 1pro to try and calibrate my new laptop screen. It didn't come with any instructions but I think it did something, the colours seem more like my old computer but I do still get strange grading artefacts in the blacks and some of my greyscale images have a strange pink grey in them? I have absolutely no idea what is going on but I think it has improved matters (couldn't be any worse )

Alexandra, Stu and Jochen:
Thank you for commenting and reading the usual things that always happen to us amateur astronomers.
Alexandra, I calibrate all my old PC´s at the rural and home observatories with the Spyder 2 kit from Pantone, but at home for my newest (5 years old) PC that I use for work and for processing all my recordings, I use the X.rite Color Munki.
Stu and Jochen, yes the last FD is the most even from the tests I made, but now I have to wait for a clear sunny day to recheck the adjustements and find out if a flatter image looks too "flat" to finish up the image, that is that the image lacks of interest.
Well wish you all a nice day and a fruitful comming week.
Eric.

Eric,
You live in or near Mexico City? Nighttime observing would suck so doing solar is certainly the way to go. Nice images as usual.

Good use of a 'blank disc' day Eric!
As others have said, number 4 looks very good indeed and I look forward to seeing your next post with a bit more action on the surface.

Franco, James and Mike:
Thanks for the kind comments.
James, I live in México City, so you can imagine the light pollution.
I just can observe the Sun. Moon and some Planets, at the home observatory I have scopes up to 102mm of aperture.
I also have a homemade optics 12.5" f/6 Newtonian on a Dobsonian wooden mount, but seldom I can use it.
Best regards,
Eric.
