August 27 2020 Observations. WL Only

Post by DeepSolar64 »

Time: 1:00pm. Temp 81F. Skies overcast with thin clouds.

Orion 70mm Solar Telescope. 25X and 50x ( WL )
No detail at all visible at 1:00pm. The disc is cue ball blank. High thin clouds give it a frosted-over look. Going back later at 1:24pm I was just able to see a facular region just off the NE limb. No other detail visible.

That AR in the NE, is quite faint and doesn't yet (or ever) to be more than that James.
But then aagain who knows.

Thanks James. I'm back home again at some point over the weekend so hope to get the scopes out for a look then.

You'll probably do better than I will. It looks like rain here for at least the next couple of days.

You did well to catch a white light look even if it is so quiet :)
