10th September'20 Captures and a Prom in Cal-K too

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

An interesting day for trimming-up adjustments of the three scopes, but still more to do with WL.

As was mentioned here the other day, a prom in Calcium-K is possible and by chance the same occurred with my Lunt 60mm scope albeit very faint, I will try that again by simple adjustment of the brightness from the camera.

Seeing conditions today were quite good and steady except for those white fluffy things on occasions...

Hopefully more improvements in the offing...

Thanks for looking
Terry

That CaK prom already looks pretty promising, Terry. Nice work.

Looking forward to more.

Very nice Terry. The CaK image is my favorite. Your limb prominence image looks a lot like my iPhone ones but a bit sharper. I have never been able to get the iPhone to show the mottling as well as your second image does.

Nicely done, Terry. Same as James, the CaK is my favorite.

Thank you Franco and James.

I think many of us will agree that the Cal-K images are perhaps the best of, but of course Ha-proms can easily equal or beat Cal-K on occasions.

When there is some Sun-spot activity, I hope to make the final adjustments to the WL scope - making for the three together. Then more work and learning - using say FireCapture and other processing programs...

CLEAR SKIES
Terry
