Tiny Pores in SW plage. 9-13-20

Post by DeepSolar64 »

Today I have noticed three tiny pores in a small AR/Plage on the SW part of the disc as seen in the SDO HMI continuum images. I believe it is the same plage which has varied in strength throughout the week that spawned some small pores earlier this week. It's overcast here in Edneyville NC today and I have not been able to look for them. They may be a challenge visually. They are really small.

Certainly does sound the same as you spotted a few days ago James.

Thanks for the report

Now the SDO is picking up a couple of tiny pores in a small AR that has appeared suddenly late this evening in the NW on GONG Mauna Loa. Visually these would too be a challenge.

Very small, but you never know, they may get bigger (fingers crossed)
