Quick PST images 21st September 2020

Post by Montana »

A very quick 10 minute session this afternoon in between Zoom lectures.

All taken with PSTs and FLIR Chameleon. I could only see the new AR on the eastern limb as a hot bump in Halpha, I couldn't see it in CaK.

A nice quick session, Alexandra. The Sun is so blank at the moment, although something might be coming around from the east :). It's a pity the weather is about to change here.
Do you know what species the transiting bird was? It looks pretty big.

Excellent images Alexandra.
Other than the birdy animation,, surprised to see the diagonal (NR) stripes, but they don't bother me !!

Cheers
Terry

Thanks everyone :)

Yes Terry, those Newton's rings on the Chameleon are a challenge I need to sort when I get more time ;)

No idea what the bird is, I wasn't quick enough to look up. Perhaps a Gull as we have quite a few flying around at the moment.
