September 21 2020 Observations

Session time between 11:00am and 2:00pm EDT local time ( US ) Temperature is 61F at 1:49pm. Seeing is poor. Clear skies.

Coronado SolarMax II 60 DS. 16x, 21.5x and 33x ( Ha )
I can make out three prominence groups. One is a large fairly faint prominence on the SE limb that reminds me of a fan coral. It has a short stem and branches out to a wide fan showing some detail within it. It would be nice under better seeing conditions. The NE limb shows a tiny very bright prom that hugs the limb. There is an emerging AR located there. The NW limb shows a group of several small proms. I can see them with difficulty. I see only one filament located near the tiny bright prominence in the NE. It's not easy to see. The disc is very calm and seeing is washing out the contrast in the mottling significantly.

Astro-Tech AT72EDII w/Altair wedge. 21.5x and 36x. ( WL )
Granulation hinted at. No other detail.

A lovely report, it sounded just like my views through the PST, the bottom prom was a beauty indeed and you are right it did look like a fan coral :hamster:
