This is the best I could get as the seeing was boiling and a very hazy sky, can't half tell the planes are back now it's getting cooler.
There was lots of movement in the prom changing every minute and very bright features.
Nice big loop as well.
Looks like it is going to get interesting for a while so the clouds and rain are rolling in here in the UK.

Looking at GONG this morning the activity seems to have moved slightly so we maybe in for a decent bit of activity as at the moment the area of activity is quite large, I hope so.

I used my 6" Zeiss f15 with a Quark unit off a daystar ds60 with a UV/IR filter. I have to use a reducer before the Quark telecentric to get the FL down, for this I use a four element air spaced Pixco one for a camera, this unit keeps the focal plane in the same place, otherwise the quark would be up inside the tube with any other reducer. I also use a barlow just before the camera as the quark etalon is a bit zonal but the centre is quite good. For a wider field I leave the barlow out and use flats in Fire Capture, this does a reasonable job but still not perfect so more work processing.
I am using a ZWO asi174MM.
I have tried two other Quarks, combo and telecentric and moved the the telecentric and combo fronts between then all, not a lot of difference, what you gain with one you lose something else so will stick with this one until it packs up.
It all sounds a little complicated but this is to do with the Zeiss coude system, even if I wanted to I can't cut the tube down, this way it works very well visually and quite well photographically.
