September 26, 12773 H-a closeup 04 Oct. updated

Post by LeoD »

Hi
we have an Indian summer now, one of the last opportunities of the Sun imaging in the region before very cloudy next 2 month.
The afternoon seeing on Saturday was getting promising, and I decided to try 11" main gun first and 5" later.
the images sequence is as follows:
AR12773 and the dipole structure in SE quadrant, C11 with Aries ERF, Quark, 0.5x reducer;
the same AR, 130mm with and without 0.5x reducer
regards
Leo

Спасибо, Валерий!
I was glad to see such a result, cause an upper haze layer not cleared up all day. I used more gain, though, and C11 images came out a bit noisy.

Spectacular! Your c11 offers such resolved details deep in the AR. And the limb shot is just beautiful.

Excellent image, Leo.

It has even more potential. I was able to add even more sharpness and more delicate details become visible.

Thanks to all,
Yes, C11 is a very challenging tool for solar imaging, I didn't realize it's potential yet, like the last session I made October, 04. Not much gain in comparison with 130mm.
here it is C11, AriesERF, Quark, 0,5x
