Probably the largest sunspot region of the cycle, AR12781, making an impressive show this week. There's a nice filament arching over the spots on the left.
6" refractor, 3X barlow, DS2 filter

Both of these images are absolutely stunning. Both of them and especially the first one of AR12781 show the awesome power of the local solar magnetic field to shape the solarscape around those spots. These are both professional quality and works of art! Great work, Dave.

I wish I could see this much detail visually!
