AR2781 in Ha 7th November 2020

Post by Carbon60 »

Sunshine of sorts this morning, although really quite hazy with the 'Autumn season of mist' upon us and a low/weak sun meaning longer than ideal exposure times and more gain than I would have liked.

Anyhow, AR2781 presented too much of a temptation to pass on the opportunity to image in closeup, even if the conditions were not ideal.

150mm/ DS Lunt 35 mod
Basler acA1920-155um camera
Genika Astro image capture (~4000 frames)
Autostakkert 3 stacking (10% of frames)
ImPPG deconvolution/sharpening
PixInsight tweaking and colouring.

Might be a little dark, but I didn't want to burn out the highlights.

Nice shot Stu! I prefer the lighter one. I did try and observe in a few gaps on saturday to no real avail because of cloud, but ended up installing my 7 foot 'winter' pier - very good for looking over 6 foot neighbours fences and teasing the extra altitude of sun relative to trees and skyline ;) Fortunately I know my neighbour well and she thought it quite amusing, usual calls of is it to shoot planes down with... :D :D :D

Ha..ha.. just don’t wear a tin hat and goggles.
Looks like you’ve been busy.
