Saturday 7th November 2020
Bit if a struggle today, the forecast was glorious blue skies but in reality it was milky cloud and cirrus. The Sun doesn't touch down in the garden now so this was from the upstairs bedroom window. Again, the DMK41 didn't work on this computer, it is most annoying. Instead of 15fps I get 1 frame per 5 seconds. So I switched to the Chameleon on the PSTs, but I struggle with this too as I still haven't worked out a proper work flow with this camera and I get terrible Newton's rings tilt or no tilt. What I found was that I have to get the Sun in the bottom left to reduce the rings but this is where it is not quite on band either. Oh well, I saw the Sun and new challenges for the winter ahead.

Very beautiful images Alexandra. I am so glad you got to image the Sun today and got to use your new upstairs bedroom observatory. Now what are you going to name your observatory?
So far I am clouded out today. I guess I can’t win em’ all.
In your comfortable bedroom observatory you could drink you a glass of wine and savor the moment. And listen to good music.

You are much too modest Alexandra.
These images are all beautiful, crisp and competent by any standards.
Given the adverse conditions they are superhuman efforts!

Looking good, Alexandra.
And being able to do that from a comfortable location is definitely a plus this time of year.

Re: Saturday 7th November 2020
Thanks everyone for the kind words I think the Hubby may have got the DMK41 running again for a second time (we shall see).
Terry, the bedroom observatory already has a name, it's called the snooker room it is OK to use the PST but if I want to set up the TEC it is very heavy to shift a slate bed snooker table to the side but, we have to share hobbies

Get a 'dumpy' tripod and mount it and the TEC on the snooker table (ssshhhh! Don't tell Darren), save keep moving the snooker table
Good shots btw, looks like your breaks were longer than mine. I struggled to get anything worthwhile.
