Some results from Nov 10/20

Post by gabrieli »

The mild weather continued this day with occasional fair seeing. The drawback was that trains of herringbone clouds decided to parade in front of the sun throughout the afternoon. This meant very brief recording times and frames and softer than usual images. I used a 180 mm Mak at f/30 (5400mm with a 2X Powermate) with either a Blackfly S (3.2Mp, 1/2" sensor) or ASI290 (1.9Mp, 1/3" sensor) on a Quark Combo Chromosphere.

Amazing detail.

Your choice of camera for that 180 MAK had me rushing to Astronomy Tools on CCD suitability! Thanks - I think......

Hi Lou...

These images are excellent :bow

Glad you got to setup while the unseasonably warm weather is still around!

Absolutely SUPERB images Lou. The clouds failed to degrade your results, as so much to see and especially with the close-ups.

The brown one is my favourite with the unusual colouring - which makes the detail stand-out so well...

Very well done and thanks for posting.

Cheers
Terry
