22nd November - A QUADRUPLE WHAMMEY !!!!

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

Well it had to happen eventually, but so early in the 25th Cycle !

As can be seen from the latest STEREO imagery - showing that not only is the current newbie AR/SPOT (AR2785) near the S.E.Limb accompanied by a close by AR just north of it, which both are followed by another AR about 3-days behind.

Not only that, but in the North is another significant AR, also about 3-days to appear on the disk, so if all of these remain as active as seen in the imageS attached, we could be in for a bumper week-ending November in to December.

Someone must have 'shaken' the Sun out of its' Deep-Sleep !!!!

CLEAR SKIES
Terry

It must have been the Great Almighty himself!! :bow

The Sun certainly seems to be waking up a bit early. I wonder if this means Solar Cycle 25 is going to be busier than predicted. I am enjoying it though and I hope it continues. I don't wish for a Carrington-Class flare though!

Thanks Fabio and I wish for your weather too....

Yes James, although nobody really can control that giant nuclear-fusion up there, but maybe (just maybe) it could be the signs of something big over the next 10-years for us to indulge-in. For the moment at least we can enjoy the sights, although I do wish this current situation could have been three months or more ago, for our better weather here in the north...

Cheers
Terry
