AR2786 and full disc 27/11/2020

Post by Martin_S »

Here are my images of AR2786, taken around 3pm on a scorching hot Brisbane day.
It wasn't the ideal time to image ,as I had to wait for a break in the clouds
that had been hanging around all day.

H-alpha images taken with my Lunt D/S 50/60, ASI290mm camera

White light images taken with my Skywatcher ED 100 , homemade wedge , IR cut filter, Solar continuum Filter, ASI120mm camera.

Martin.

Beautiful results, Martin. I find AR2786 very interesting due to its irregular shape. I have not observed a sunspot like that before.

Wow!! I love the WL images (always my favourite wavelength) and a beautiful full disc, just heaven :bow :hamster:

In Autostakkert I think you can tick the box to remove ragged edges (I am on my work laptop so I can't check to see the correct terminology) but it helps to trim the black edges :)
