18-01-2021 NEW AR's
With the S.E. AR showing what is an almost double-spot in one, there is another small AR in the N.E. approaching the limb in around 3-days time.
The Heliograph image shows the latest.
Cheers and CLEAR SKIES...

Thanks Terry, looks like a couple of spots in the region rounding the limb.

Re: 18-01-2021 NEW AR's
Thanks Mark and Alexandra. Shortly after my posting of this post, I ended up in hospital for a short stay, with a confirmed visual-problem - which is now requiring a considerable-amount of treatment over the next six -weeks, probably requiring surgery after. In the mean-time I expect to have further difficulties in some seeing on the PC etc., so please bear with me if I miss or mistook something.
Having just looked at STEREO and SDO, I note a second spot area in the S.E. and will post images in a couple of minutes...
Cheers
Terry

Re: 18-01-2021 NEW AR's
Sorry about that Terry. It sounds serious. A fellow I worked with had to have surgery for macular degeneration. It's a issue with the retina if I remember right. I hope it's not that. It can be really serious. I will remember you in my prayers.EGRAY_OBSERVATORY wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 11:01 pm Thanks Mark and Alexandra. Re: 18-01-2021 NEW AR's
Thank you so much for your thoughts and replies - everyone.
James, it's not the problem that you mentioned, rather is "Acute Anterior Uveitis" and is currently under a 2-hour treatment regime, which will continue for six-weeks albeit with better treatment-times later...
At present, it is difficult for me even to read from the pc-screen, as is like looking through a fog, so I have to magnify the screen to help.
Yes Alexandra - you are in a storm-warning area, so hopefully you do not get too big a soaking.
The latest images will appear shortly in today's post 19-1.
CLEAR SKIES

Re: 18-01-2021 NEW AR's
Thanks Eric and Mark. After the 6-week current treatment, it is likely that two Cataract operations will be necessary, so how long before getting back to normal is not yet certain, but hopefully soon.
I hope that the current/due stormy-weather doesn't cause any damage to yourselves over here in the U.K., as it certainly looks to be a problem

You will have bionic eyes Terry, you should check out your cak scope visually, you will see all sorts after the op.EGRAY_OBSERVATORY wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 7:04 pm It is likely that two Cataract operations will be necessary

Re: 18-01-2021 NEW AR's
HaHa Mark, I could already see the "hue of blue" through the Cak scope with the Mk1 Eyeball, so if I could see more - that would be helpful, but whether that view could be worse - is another matter !!!
It'll certainly be interesting as to what difference the Cataract op will make changes and I will no doubt post the answer here, but if it is a good answer, will many of us go for the op - regardless ??
Cheers
Terry
