SDO is now showing evidence of something approaching the northeast limb. It appears small though.

Thanks guys for the updates! I've got a strategic working at home day tomorrow where I plan on starting way before sunrise so I can finish at noon ready for a bit of solar. I hope I am able to report back with some images as clear skies are forecast.

Thanks again James and the SDO image shows a before/during/after flare from 2797 and yes i can see the AR from the N.E. Limb - so hopefully in a few hours from now, we will actually get a decent north AR.

Hi Mark, good luck also and hopefully you can image something for us to see.

Cheers
terry

Apparently a C-class flare emerged from AR2798 today, so perhaps both AR2797 & 2798 are both now flare-capable.

Clouds ruined any chance of me seeing the flare.
