Post by dhkaiser »

Looking at the Solar Dynamic Observatory HMII image it seems AR 2799 is not done ...

WoW, it's certainly grew in spots since yesterday morning! I am cloudy and rainy today back home from Lowndesville SC. I don't know if I'll catch AR12799 again. It's getting close to the limb and tomorrow it may be hard to see clouds permitting. If it's cloudy tomorrow I am done with it. Thanks for the informative view, Dan.

James

Hi Dan,

Interesting. Hopefully I get some Sun today. Yesterday only high clouds and not worth opening the roof.

Indeed Dan, you've certainly captured better imagery than even SDO is currently showing of AR2799 - before it goes over the edge.

Thanks vm

Hi Dan,

It is indeed alive. I saw it flaring yesterday. Found out they were B-class flares.

Looking at Pavel's images I think he may have caught one earlier today.
