2-2-2021 TWIN-SPOTS IN THE N.W. QUADRANT

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

At mid-day today (Tuesday) the one spot of last-night has grown a twin - next to it.

With at least shallow proms and an otherwise quiet disk, that's better than nothing...

STEREO showing nothing to forecast for the East.

CLEAR SKIES

The latest SDO imagery at around 20:00z is showing that AR2801 now consists of just the original one spot.

Cheers

Was growing fast Alexandra, but equally today (Wednesday) is now totally disappeared as far as spots are concerned.

As Dan's SDO's close-up showed, the N.W. (and indeed the Northern Hemisphere) seems to be a "come & go" area so quickly..

Thanks everyone..
Terry
