8-2-2021 SDO/SOHO AND LATEST STEREO IMAGERY

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

From SOHO WEBSITE :-

" NOTICE
On February 8 2021 between 07:00-15:00 EST due to scheduled maintenance, all web-facing SOHO services will be unavailable. "

Well at least I have grabbed the STEREO latest of today as shown, with just the S.E. AR showing something of interest.

I got an image from SOHO from today as also shown here.

Perhaps Pedro's captures of today/8th are the best to see that the S.E. AR is not yet showing any spots.
+++
Much more snow here in S.E.England...

CLEAR SKIES
Terry

Thanks Nigella and the snow is spreading towards the S.W. U.K., so here's hoping you will be able to make a Snowman or Snowwoman soon...!!

I can't define any spots as such Mark, but perhaps (and most likely) you know something I don't ??

There certainly is some interesting activity in that AR though and as I said previously - I would hazard a guess that spots are likely...

CLEAR SKIES, LESS SNOW, WARMER WEATHER, NO MORE RAIN and LOTS MORE SUN-SPOTS - PLEASE...

Terry

Yes Mark there certainly does seem to be something there similar to spots but very small and not yet defined as an AR-number.

Need to await a while longer, as at 0200z/9-1-2021 still not showing significant spots on SDO, but keeping an open-mind.

If anything the spot appears to have shrunk back a bit over the last 12 hours.

Thanks Mark and yes an explanation of what is going-on is posted in today's report - 9-1-2021...

Clearly an "un-decided" spot AR...
