With quite a few proms around the disk today, STEREO is showing a large (but weak) AR approaching the S.E.Limb - beginning to show in around 2-days.
The southern AR is diminishing and no spots are visible.
Cheers
Terry

Thanks for the update Terry. It looks like no solar observing for me today. Clouds with forecast rain.

Thanks Terry.
With these SOHO images the darker patches tell us more of a story than the brighter patches as they (darker) often herald prominences and filaments. Ha clues...

Re: 11-2-2021 LATEST REPORT
Thanks James and hope you have clear skies tomorrow.
Thanks Nigella - you're most welcome.
Thanks Mark and your comments are useful. Perhaps I might include more reports from the various cameras on the SDO mission in future if time allows. There are of course other websites which can provide useful imagery for a report which could well include filaments etc. as well as actually including the daily prom images. At least most of SDO's images do include the correct date/time, which is quite relevant...
Interestingly the published SDO images are already in jpg. form so less to do, but the STEREO images still need minor processing and converting to jpg., but I am now quite used to that fairly quickly...
Obviously the excellent (incredible) images provided by us SolarChatters are so much better than the "big boys and gals" provide from spacecraft, so I guess at least a report and forecast may help those of us - to grab those images.
When it comes to the warmer-weather/higher Sun, my time will no-doubt need to get out there and do some imaging myself, but hopefully from the observatory or indoors as now, I will continue to provide these report and maybe earlier in the day too...
Cheers
Terry
