Imaging setups. 2-19, 20, 21 2021

Post by DeepSolar64 »

Here are the imaging setups I used on Friday 2-19, Saturday 2-20 and Sunday 2-21. It's certainly gonna be a work in progress. A better light shroud for the computer and tracking mounts for the scopes are in the plans. After that a CaK filter and Binoviewer for visual use. Then maybe a Sodium D line Quark. Last a larger refractor ,127mm or bigger, for white light and nighttime use.

I intend to keep visual observing as my primary solar observing method using imaging only to back it.

Hi James,

Look great and the next step as you said an equatorial mount and then a fixed observatory with a Roll Off Roof = ROR

You will see how comfortable it will be specially when getting older and now it is the time to do it.

Go out, push the roof away and ready to go ...

Believe me ...
