Check out my collection of Solar Wedges. I use the Baader ceramic solar wedge most of the times

Nice Pedro! I didn't see my Altair wedge or the Lacerta wedge in there. Your collection of antique wedges is impressive.

Thanks James

I do not have a Lacerta wedge. I tried to buy one recently (used). I will have to get one

https://en.lacerta-optics.com/Herschel- ... angle-incl

The LACERTA Herschel prism is built quite different compared to others on the market (INTES, Baader, Lunt...). It makes use of the full polarization possibility at Brewster angle, compared to only partial at the 90-degree versions.

Nice Clave equipment. What aperture/make is the long FL refractor in the video? I love old-school refractors!

Hello Pedro,
Clavé helioscopes are collector items. I should have bought them years ago when I was a student. But ... I didn't have enough money ...

That's a really nice scope, Pedro. You just need a traditional wooden tripod to go with it.

Nice collection you have there, Pedro.

Using the Baader ceramic here as well (as do a lot of people, I'm sure).

Fantastic Pedro! Wonderful collection. I often hear astronomers saying that equipment is for looking through, not looking at. But your presentation clearly disproves that theory. The Clave gear is particularly impressive.

Pedro,
Did Clave only make 1.25" eyepieces? I ask because the small .965" size was common at that time. And how good were the Clave objectives? Do you have a scope operational that uses one?

Yes James

There are 1 1/4" Clave' but I collect only the original ones (27mm outside diameter). The 50mm "Pic du Midi" eyepieces are very rare and I have the whole collection

WoW, 27mm in diameter. Very small. You have the diagonal to fit them, of course.

A lot of people would argue that in favor of TeleVue's plossls. Except for a lack of eye relief I like the Plossl design. I would love to view through the Clave' plossls to see how they do.

Like some .965"s I have used. They got that really tiny eye lens with no eye relief.
